The morning of Monday September 23, 2013, members of the Huntingtown VFD were paying their last respects for Past President & Charter Member, Raymond Trott at the Huntingtown United Methodist Church. The services were cut short when Calvert Communications received several calls that Neptune's Restaurant in North Beach, MD was on fire. At 0947 hours, the Box Alarm was sounded at 8800 Chesapeake Avenue, bringing the Fire Chief (Montgomery), Engine 62 (Lt Montgomery), Rescue Squad (Montgomery, M) & Tanker 6 (Morgal, J).

First arriving units from the North Beach VFD reported smoke showing from the 2-story commercial establishment. Engine 62 (4th due) arrived on location as the 2nd Engine Company, established a secondary water supply and stretched their own attack line. An outside fire in a grease trap that extended into the ducts and traveled vertically up to the roof was quickly extinguished. The crew from the Rescue Squad ventilated the building, handled Utilities and assisted with checking for extension. At 1035 hours, the Huntingtown Volunteers returned to service with enough time to return back to the funeral services.
