| Saturday June 8, 2013 at 1600 hours, The Huntingtown Volunteers were alerted for the unconscious person at 811 White Marsh Court. Within 2 minutes from dispatch, Engine 61 & Ambulance 69 arrived on location and found an elderly male in his garage with a bystander performing CPR (witnessed cardiac arrest less than 5 minute prior). Members immediately took over, applying the AED and continuing CPR. During the process, the patient regained a pulse and began breathing again on his own. Once loaded into the ambulance with ALS (Medic 103) on-board, the patient lost his pulse and discontinued breathing. CPR was initiated again the entire trip to Calvert Memorial Hospital and while entering the ER, the patient again regained his pulse and began breathing again on his own which he sustained. Outstanding job to all members on the call for their quick actions!
