It brings great sadness to announce the passing of Thomas "Eddie" Catterton, Sr. Eddie passed away yesterday, Sunday June 3, 2013 at 7:30 am while hospitalized at George Washington University Hospital in Washington DC.

Eddie was an active & life-time member with our fellow brothers at the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department. In the early 90's, Eddie was a member of the Huntingtown VFD and also a live-in. He was unlike no other man and touched the lives of an infinite number of people. Once you met Eddie, you would never forget him. He didn't have 9 lives; he had 9,000 lives. He had a heart of gold and would talk to you about anything and everything. His son, "Lil" Eddie is career firefighter with Prince George's County Fire Department and also a volunteer with the Dunkirk VFD. Eddie will be truly missed but never, ever forgotten.
