| It brings great pleasure to announce another Huntingtown Volunteer has followed in his family's footsteps and become a career firefighter. This past Thursday July 26, member Benjamin Jeffery graduated from Montgomery County's Fire Academy. Ben was surrounded at the graduation by fellow family members, friends and Huntingtown VFD brothers. His first day on shift work begins July 31 where he has been assigned to Station 19 (Silver Spring) on "B" Shift.
Ben's father, Alfred Jeffery is a member of the Huntingtown VFD and retired earlier this year as the Assistant Fire Chief of DC Fire Department. Ben's brother, Alfred is also a member with the Huntingtown VFD and a private with the DC Fire Department, assigned to Truck 4 in the Shaw section of Washington DC. Ben's twin brother, Michael is also a Huntingtown VFD member.
Congratulations AND best of luck to Ben and his career with Montgomery County Fire Department. |
