On Monday August 20, 2007 at 2219 hours, the Huntingtown Volunteers, and Ambulance 49 (Prince Frederick RS) were alerted to Holland Cliff Road and Estate Drive for the auto accident. Within seconds a full compliment of Huntingtown Volunteers responded: Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6C (Hayes), Squad 6 (Hengstenberg), Engine 62 (Lt Thrasher), Ambulance 68 (Capt Borden), and Ambulance 69 (Fitzgerald). While en route, Communications received supplemental information advising it was a head-on accident, bringing Medic 104 and Medic 105. Units arrived to find a two-vehicle head-on accident with 6 patients already out of the vehicles. EMS crews began tending to the patients while the Squad crew stabilized and secured both vehicles. Engine 62's crew stretched the front bumper line due to a gasoline leak. Between the 3 ambulances, 4 patients were transported. The other 2 signed medical releases. The 22 Huntingtown Volunteers cleared at 2318.
