Firefighter John Threlfall Wins State Title

On April 29th High School Students from around the State of Maryland competed in the Skills USA Maryland State Championship. 3 students from the Calvert Career & Technology Academy represented the Calvert County Volunteers: John Threlfall (Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad Inc.), Brady McKee (Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department), and Ethan Johnson ( Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department).

All three students did an amazing job representing the volunteers of Calvert County, with 2 of the 3 receiving medals in the competition.

Firefighter/EMT-B John Threlfall received the Gold Medal and will be moving on to represent Maryland at the National Skills USA competition being hosted in Louisville Kentucky June 19th-23rd.
