Engine Runs Solomons 2nd Alarm

At 2315 hours, units from the Solomons VRSFD were alerted to the 14400 block of Solomons Island Road South (3-01) box for the reported building on fire. Engine Company 3 arrived to find fire showing. Chief 3 arrived shortly thereafter, and requested a second alarm, bringing Engine 61 (Sgt. Montgomery), Chief 6 (Clark), and Chief 6A (Ward). Engine 61 arrived and was put to work on division's 2 and 3. Crews operated until 0100 hours before returning to service. Squad 6 (Capt. Clark) handled a transfer to Company 7, while HVFD maintained multiple crews. The cause of the fire has been determined as arson.
