On Thursday, September 22nd, 2016, units from Company 6 were alerted to Solomons Island Road and Aspen Woods Drive, in Sunderland, for the motor vehicle accident, with reports of one vehicle on fire. Engine 62 (Capt. C. Threlfall), Squad 6 (Montgomery Sr.), Tanker 6 (D. Cox), Ambulance 68 (B. Jeffery), Ambulance 69 (M. Lanier), Utility 6 (Lt. Gaylor), and Chief 6B (Deputy Chief Ward) responded, and arrived to find a four vehicle collision, with one vehicle on fire. Engine 62, and Tanker 6 quickly went to work extinguishing the auto fire, as crews from the ambulances, and Rescue Squad initiated patient care. Four patients were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Squad 6 cleared this run, and responded to a second automobile accident in Company 1's Area. Chief 5A (Sealey) held the Sunderland Command.
