Tuesday January 17, 2012 at 1542 hours, Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6A (Montgomery), Chief 6B (Morris), Safety 6 (McKenny), Squad 6 (Lt Clark), Engine 62 (Ball), Ambulance 68 (Martin) and Ambulance 69 (Morgal) were alerted for the serious auto accident at Route 2 and Wayside Drive. Additionally, Dunkirk Squad 5 & Ambulance 59, North Beach Ambulance 18 and the Medic Unit were added to the call. With units enroute, Communications received supplemental information that one person was trapped and unconscious. With this information, a helicopter was requested.

The 19 Huntingtown Volunteers arrived on location and found a two vehicle t-bone collision with one person trapped. Squad 6 & Squad 5 members deployed an assortment of hydraulic tools to remove the roof and driver's side door of one vehicle. One person was transported by aviation to a local trauma center. A second person was ground-transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital. Engine 62 handled the Landing Zone. Units from the Huntingtown VFD remained on the scene until 1648 hours.
